The Alabama Society for Clinical Social Work is a nonprofit professional organization comprised of licensed social workers who teach, supervise, manage or provide direct clinical services to consumers with the full spectrum of mental and emotional disorders. The Alabama Society for Clinical Social Work was formed in 1973 to represent the interests of clinical social workers and their clients.
Our continuing purpose is to provide high quality educational programs to the profession, promote standards of practice for Clinical Social Work in the State of Alabama, mentor new therapists, and advocate for our clients and profession in the legislative arena. The ASCSW is affiliated with the Clinical Social Work Association and abides by its code of ethics.
